Heredia was built as a very organized grid and over the centuries the city expanded, but it has remained exceptionally navigable. Walking around the city is not difficult at all and the beautiful colonial architecture is a great excuse to keep your eyes busy.
Taxis are another great option should you need to cover longer distances or need to get somewhere in a rush. A cab ride will usually cost less than US$2.00 if you are just moving around in the city.
