Arrival to NerjaNerja Photo Gallery
Although planes do not fly directly to Nerja, international flights from Europe and the United States fly into the Pablo Ruis Picasso International Airport (AGP) in Malaga, a nearby city that is about an hour away by car. Ailola Latino can provide pick-up service from the airport to your accommodation in Nerja.
In the city of Nerja there is a bus stop on Avenida de Pescia near the center of town. This is not a building facility, but a ticket booth with benches. Most buses that travel through Nerja serve the coastal cities, so getting to other sites in the Andalusian region is not difficult. There is also a second road-side bus stop that will take you to the Nerja caves just outside of the city limit. You can also take a non-stop service bus to Nerja from Malaga for approximately $7 (€5).

If you choose to drive to Nerja, take the clearly marked exit off of the coastal highway A-7 E-15. Be aware that there is not a lot of street parking in Nerja and that you will likely have to use and pay for a garage during your stay. Nerja has many roundabouts, and Spanish driving rules that drivers stay on the outer lane of the circle and have right of way. This can be confusing to drivers from other countries, so if you choose to drive, please become comfortable with Spanish driving rules before you arrival!
